Kalina Chankova

Kalina Chankova graduated from the “School of Art Crafts“and got a Bachelor’s degree in “Textile Art Techniques” from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. Her artistic activities include experiments with ceramics, graphics, interior design and mainly jewelry. She has worked as a decorator for the magazines: “Décor”, “For the woman”, “BRAVACASA”. She also taught drawing, ceramic work and art therapy to children with mental and health problems at the “Nikolay Shmirgela” art studio-centre and worked as gallerist in the “1908” gallery of contemporary visual arts in Sofia. Kalina is part of the “IVAN ASEN 22” team – an emotional space and a conceptual platform for the presentation of contemporary fashion design. She has presented her work in a number of exhibitions in Bucharest, Vienna, Rotterdam etc. In the last years she owns two boutiques in Sofia and Sinemorets , which represent the work of Bulgarian clothes, accessories and jewelry designers.
