Katya Lozanova (GIZDA)
Katya Lozanova has a Bachelor’s degree in Stage decoration and a Master in Fashion and Business Strategies from the New Bulgarian University, Sofia.
In 2016, Katya created GIZDA – a brand for women’s clothing and accessories.
The pandemic of Covid 19 and the new reality provoked Katya to create innovative protective accessories, which are included in a number of international rankings of prestigious publications such as CNN and Forbes in the section for the most successful pandemic designs.
At the beginning of 2022, GIZDA protective accessories are included in the exhibition | DESIGN AND HEALING: CREATIVE RESPONSES TO EPIDEMICS | in Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York.
Gizda’s distinctive feature are the unusual cuts and the multicultural and historical elements. The brand started with casual women’s clothing, but later expanded its portfolio with accessories and costumes for special events.
