Polina Sotirova holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion and a Master’s degree in `Theory and Practice of Art Education` from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia.
She currently works as a responsible designer of the `News and Current Events Directorate` and the `Program Content Directorate` of the Bulgarian National Television. She is also a freelance designer and a passionate reader and artist in his spare time.
She has various participations at home and abroad. She won the first place at the `Hangeul Fashion Design Contest` in 2016 and participated in the XIX.National Textile Conference `Traditions and innovations in textiles and clothing` in 2017´In 2018, she was a finalist in the international competition in Prague `DESIGNBLOK`, in the category `Diploma work`. She has twice participated in BALKAN FASHION WEEK, in 2016 and 2018. She worked with Bulgarian designers on the production of items for the brand `Conceptual Sporty Chic` in 2018, and in 2019 was part of the designers´ team of the conceptual fashion design project `+7 HOURS` by IVAN ASEN 22.
Most important in her work are materials, textile techniques and colors that embody and help her to illustrate the theme or conceptual design. By her ideas she came to the production of artistic clothes, art objects and accessories, for which she has a great desire to be part of her personal wardrobe. Both in her personal style and work she strives to combine the conventional with the non-traditional.
