READ MY LOOK invites designers to turn reading into a wearable experience. The theme explores the relationship between fashion and literature – between the garment through which we “read” stories, and the clothing that “speaks”. What if the garment were a page that tells a story, or if the silhouette was a poem in motion? The project encourages experimentation with ideas, materials and messages that translate the spirit of books and reading into fashionable form.
Designers interpret unfolded pages through dense pleats, asymmetrical folds and layering. Typography becomes patterns, embroidered letters, laser-cut texts and 3D compositions. Illustrations come to life as prints with strong visual energy. Book covers provoke geometry, structure, leather surfaces and “paper” materials. Jewelry also conveys the spirit of books – such as metal “folds” reminiscent of paper, volumes inspired by covers, cutouts as from lapidary typography, or fine graphic details that carry the idea of hidden messages and symbols.
READ MY LOOK is an invitation to see the garment as a text, the body as a book and fashion as a living story.
